L: What subjects do you like to shoot?
E: Mainly architecture, with an emphasis on strong geometric form and immersive perspective. To mix things up I love trying my hand at ‘Street’ and have even started doing a few street portraits which are a blast.
L: Colour or B/W and why?
E: Up until very recently, I would have unequivocally said B&W is my favourite (it still is to a certain extent) mainly because there is an element of abstraction with B&W which works so well a lot of what I shoot. However, the more I have started looking into colour theory, the more I’m intrigued by it, mainly the manner in which colours can be used to shape and evoke ideas.
L: What is your inspiration?
E: London and all of it’s little quirks.
L: Tell us a little bit about your creative process…
E: I generally just go out on photo walks a few times a month and keep a list of buildings and places to shoot which I’m constantly updating. Basically, make things up as I go along ha. With that said, there are a few recurring themes which I try to incorporate into my work, namely: symmetry, geometric patterns, immersive perspective and strong leading lines.
L: What gear do you use and what us your preferred equipment?
E: D5100 + Nikon 35mm 1.8 DX + Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 + Nikon 55-200mm DX + Tripod + ND filter. My fav piece is the dinky Nikon 35mm 1.8 DX.
L: How do you develop your photos (digital/film/software used)?
E: I use Adobe Camera RAW and Photoshop CC for everything digital, with 99% of my B&W conversions done using Nik Silver Efex and perspective corrections done using DxO Perspective.
L: What would you like to convey with your photos?
E: To get people to have a look up every now and again, there’s a different world up there.
L: Tell us an anecdote or a “secret” regarding your photos…
E: Constructive criticism is invaluable.
L: How would you describe your photographic style?
E: Inverted vertigo snapshits™
L: Do you listen to music while you shoot and/or edit?
E: Absolutely, normally some chill out stuff -  Bonobo is a particular favourite whilst out shooting.
L: Favorite season?

E: Summer (if you can call it that in the UK:)

L: Favorite book and/or author of all time and why?
E: George Orwell, 1984. He wasn’t far off considering it was written well over 60 years ago.
